Texting while driving...BANNED!
This session, I have co-sponsored House bill 3069 which requires hands free use of cell telephones. This was passed by the House last session but the Senate did not concur.

“The bill is great progress toward safer roads,” Ehrlich said, adding that she applauds the town for taking up the matter this spring. “The bottom line is that when you’re behind the wheel, just drive.”
However, missing in the joint bill is the amendment that Ehrlich helped incorporate into the House version, which would have banned cell-phone use while driving except for those drivers who use a hands-free device.
“I would have preferred to see a hands-free requirement,” she said. “When you are holding your phone in one hand, your ability is certainly sacrificed.”
